Since this is the first real post I figured I’d explain how the format for this site will work (though I’m sure it will evolve). Every day on my commute/lunch break/long phone calls, I read dozens of articles, listen to podcasts and peruse twitter. I thought it would be nice to compile a list of the most important ones, or the ones that stick with me throughout the day. They may not be the most important stories and I do still consider pop culture news (because everyone needs some light in the dark and I’m merely woke-adjacent. Still working on being fully woke, but it’s a work in progress). So without further adieu, here are the 5 articles I picked for today, December 13, 2017.
- World News: A Complete Meltdown of Humanity
And because I don’t want to pay to embed tweets (if that’s how it works? Anyone know?) maybe check out some of the tweets from #Aleppo
- Op-Ed News: Real America is it’s own Bubble
- Twitter News: Denzel tells the News what’s up
And if you want a good side note story, I also found this sweet Denzel story about how he helped his childhood librarian celebrate her 99th birthday! ::swoon::
- Science News: More like, Disappearing Science News
- Trump News: Basically more of the same conflict of interest shit
I’ll assume you missed this because you were busy wondering why Kanye, Ray Lewis and Jim Brown were hanging out with him today.
Finally, just wanted to say that if you’re into podcasts and comedy folk, I can’t recommend Terry Gross’ interview of Bill Eichner. I love Billy and have been a loyal viewer of both Billy on the Street and Difficult People on Hulu (which I can’t recommend enough!). But for today, listen to him talk about life with Terry!
And that’s it for today! I hope you enjoy!
